The 200 Series gloves and mitts are constructed from ZetexPlus®, a highly texturized fiberglass fabric treated with a proprietary vermiculite coating. ZetexPlus® can withstand continuous operating temperatures up to 1500°F (815°C) and peak temperatures up to 2000°F (1095°C), meaning that extended direct contact with temperatures around 2000° F (1095°C) may damage the gloves, but at temperatures around 1500°F (815°C), the user will be protected for a longer duration. These ratings are guidelines and heavily dependent on the environment and application in which the gloves are being used.
ZetexPlus® hand protection is available in several styles including with a double palm for additional heat resistance and extended heat protection, an aramid palm for abrasion resistance, or a leather palm for superior grip and dexterity.
